CONFIDENTIAL HOME GUIDANCE
The Next Chapter
→ STARTS WITH A PLAN.
Going through a divorce or separation? Get clear, private answers about your home: whether to keep it, refinance or sell, and what each option really means for you.
YOUR OPTIONS
Three paths forward.
There’s no single right answer when a marriage ends. The best choice for the home depends on your finances, your settlement and what you want next.
i.
Keep the home
Refinance into your name alone, remove your former spouse from the mortgage and, if needed, use equity to complete a buyout.*
ii.
Sell and move forward
Plan the payoff, timing and proceeds, with a trusted local agent to help you sell for the right price and close this chapter cleanly.
iii.
Not sure yet? That’s okay.
Compare the numbers side by side: your payment if you keep it, your equity if you sell, and what you could afford next.
HOW IT WORKS
Simple, private and on your timeline.
Start with a private conversation
Share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. No pressure and no obligation.

What you could qualify for on your own, what a buyout might take and what selling could net.
Move forward with a plan
With your permission, we coordinate with your attorney so the plan for the home fits your settlement.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Answers, before you ask.
Can I keep the house on my income alone?
Possibly. It depends on your income, credit and debts, including any support you receive or pay. We’ll review your situation and show you what you could qualify for.
How does a spouse buyout work?
Typically, the spouse keeping the home refinances the mortgage into their own name and uses part of the equity to pay the other spouse their share, as set out in the settlement.*
Do I have to wait until the divorce is final?
Not to start planning. When a loan can close usually depends on your settlement terms, so we’ll map out the timing together.
Will this stay confidential?
Yes. What we discuss stays between us, and we’ll only contact you the way you ask us to.
Can you work with my attorney?
With your permission, yes. Coordinating early helps make sure the plan for the home lines up with your settlement.
What does it cost to talk?
Nothing. The conversation is free and comes with no obligation.
